Email Tab Reference
Configure email recipients, sender info, and message content.
The Email Tab allows you to configure how emails are sent when generating PDFs.
Scope
This tab controls the email envelope and content. The actual SMTP server settings (which server to use) are configured in the ProfileWizard or settings.yaml, not here.
Sender Info (Optional)
You can override the default sender information configured in your SMTP settings.
- Sender Name (Optional): The display name (e.g., "Accounting Dept").
- Sender Address (Optional): The "From" email address.
- Note: Most SMTP providers (like Gmail or Outlook) will force this to match your authenticated account address to prevent spoofing. Usually, you should leave this blank unless you have a specific need and your provider supports it.
- If left blank, the system uses the default address from your Profile settings.
Recipients
Configure who receives the email. You cannot type static addresses here; instead, you must map these fields to your data sources.
- Email To / Cc / Bcc: Select a variable from the dropdown.
- The dropdown lists variables from your Data Tab (Transaction Mappings, Master Mappings, and Calculations).
- Example: If your CSV has a column
CustomerEmail, map it in the Data Tab, then selectCustomerEmailhere.
Email Content
Define the subject and body of the email. You can use dynamic variables to personalize the message.
Subject
The subject line of the email.
- Supports variables:
Invoice for {{CustomerName}}
Body
The main content of the email.
- Supports multi-line text.
- Supports variables:
Dear {{CustomerName}}, Please find attached invoice {{InvoiceNo}}. Total Amount: {{Amount}} Thank you.
PDF Naming Rule
The filename of the attached PDF is configured in the Data Tab, not here.
